In Dec 2020 Pamela Rosenkranz designed a Christmas decoration for department store GLOBUS in Zurich. The installation called „Living Colors“ was inspired by the „Brainbow“ project from Harvard University, where scientists managed to mark nerve cells with the RGB color system. Consequently, each new thought resulted in a new mixture of the three primary colors red, green and blue. The installation of Pamela Rosenkranz takes the idea and changes colors accordingly, reflecting the thoughts of the people on the street. The work is also accessible on the mobile phone via qr-code. I really like this idea because on the mobile screen what most people perceive as the “Christmas decoration” turns into a digital artwork...check it out:

The famous "Wall Painting" by Swiss artists Fischli/Weiss ("painted on the façade of an office building near Oerlikon Station in 1991") shows what makes up a creative, productive and meaningful day at work. The artists play with these maybe old-fashioned motivational sayings and strategies of corporations. today - one answer to "How to work better" could be: > to show art in the office and include artist and curators in developing workshops, events and education programs. Art can make your day at work meaningful.

Here I found a nice quote from artist and professor of fine arts Deborah Barr about "The Power of Art in Society", she says: "All societies and cultures, have limits on what is acceptable behavior and what is allowable in the way of personal expression, yet the arts remain a relatively free space in which to create more complicated forms of public interaction... ."

> Today art in an organization or corporation can be understood as a free zone or neutral space, where rules, limits, attitudes, approach, ideas, contacts, behavior can be tested and renegotiated. Art can support change.

Wells Fargo used John V. Muntean's Magic Angle Sculpture as main character in its TV commercial "A financial Life". They say: "looking from a fresh perspective can make all the difference"...it can provide what they call an "Unlock - a realization that often reveals a better path forward." In this case, art gives the "fresh perspective". Looking at art or working with art can provide an "Unlock" i.e. make a difference at work.
